Royal Enfield is one of the oldest and most trusted brands of the bike sector known as the old school choppers in India and even the Indian Army is quite dependent on this bike due to its qualities which has made the company emerge as one of its kind with bikes featuring 350cc and 500cc monsters. The ride quality, fuel efficiency , riding posture, power, technology and most importantly the Legacy is what these bikes are known for.
Royal Enfield is also known for its unique brake and gear pedal arrangement which made driving difficult for all those people who were not familiar with this type of inverse arrangement. But to answer this, a few months back Royal Enfield came out with the conventional break and gear pedal arrangement which is seen in every other bike, thus making it more convenient to ride.
This year at the 2010 Auto Expo, the company had a very attractive stall with a lot of bikes to see and many of them really blew away the visitors, like the Bullet Classic 350 , Classic 500, Battle Green 500 , Bullet 500 chrome and the Cafe Racer concept.
Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 350
The 350cc bullet is the classic one and popular with its black color and has a single cylinder 4 stroke engine with a displacement of 346cc pumping a maximum 18BHP @5000 rpm and a maximum torque of 32Nm@ 3000rpm. It has a 4 speed(right foot gear shift) and can touch the mark of 100 kmph when throttled fully.
Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500
Setting this bike apart from the other is its 500cc engine, a striking single colored appearance giving it a more authentic Vintage look and hand painted pin stripes. It has a 5-speed transmission, 7” double leading shoe front brake and dual seat further distinguish this model from the rest. The ride quality and speed are the other aspects which this bike is improved with.
Royal Enfield Classic Chrome 500
Classic Chrome is a variant of the classic 500cc bullet not in terms of the technical specifications but in body finish. The bike has a body which is chrome finished giving it a very lustrous look. The exhaust as we see has also been lifted up giving it a unique look when viewed from the sides. The classic chrome would be available in the stores across the country in a short period of time.
Battle Green Enfield
This bike named as the Battle Green Enfield is another variant of the 500cc Enfield. Surprisingly this bike has been painted green which makes it really beautiful to look at. The green color has matte finish giving the bike a more rugged look. The all-green colored Classic will not make it to Indian markets, however, but will go on sale in the USA shortly.
Royal Enfield Cafe Racer Concept
Cafe Racer Concept is what bike has been named by the Royal Enfield. The bike proved to be the showstopper as well as the jaw-dropper making everyone gaze at it and feel hypnotized. This bike has some cool features like rear-set foot-pegs and controls, clip-on bars, a chopped mudguard and a ‘bum-stop’ seat. The tool boxes at the side have been replaced by nifty racing number plates. It would be made available in the market not before 2012.
