Also, the video reveals the sound note of the new Royal Enfield 750cc motorcycle. The video shows the bike being pushed on a racing circuit. The company has not been very vocal about the launch plans. However, it is likely that the new bike will launch in the European market soon after its debut at EICMA, Milan. Thereafter, it has high chances of making it to India. The new Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 cc is the first-ever such product from the Indian motorcycle maker. It will go on to rival several middleweight models from famous international companies. Also, for now, it will be the only RE product to come with the all-new 750cc air-cooled parallel twin-cylinder, fuel-injected engine.
Spy images reveal that there will be as many as three variants. One of these will have a flat bench-type seat that will easily accommodate two. It will also have a high retro appeal due to bits like knee pads on the tank and dark paint options. The second motorcycle looks like a cafe racer and has a single seat arrangement. It also has dual exhaust pipes that come finished in chrome. The third bike features a black exhaust and aluminium rims. This version also has a seat for a pillion. The 750cc bike will also ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) for enhanced safety. It will also get a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster and high-mounted rear turn indicators.
While the new product will be available in three body styles, it does seem to take design inspiration from the Continental GT. Currently, this model is in final stages of testing and fine-tuning before it greets the audience at EICMA this month. There are good chances that the 750cc offering will try to catch the fancy of all those looking for a retro cruiser adept at munching miles on a long highway. The 750cc parallel-twin engine will offer sufficient grunt to help the Interceptor comfortably cruise at high speeds. So far, REs have been known to be slow and bulky. Things could change in the company’s favour with the introduction of the new bike. The Interceptor 750 will help the manufacturer consolidate its position in several markets across the globe. Other than India and Europe, even Brazil will have the Interceptor 750 on sale in its local motorcycle market.
While the specifications of the Interceptor aren’t out yet, we know for sure that it will have a 750cc parallel twin, air-cooled engine with fuel injection fuel delivery system. The engine has a 270-degree for a high refinement and bassy exhaust note. Also, it will have conventional telescopic forks at front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle will come with 17-inch wheels that are likely to be shod with 120 and 160-section tyres at both front and rear tyres. This bike is built around a twin-craddle chassis that is developed by Harris Performance, UK.

The company is yet to reveal the official specs of its latest motorcycle. However, it’s for sure that the new bike will come with a parallel-twin, 750cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The oil-cooler features a small radiator that will come front of the engine and mounted on the double-cradle chassis. We expect this engine to output at least 46 BHP of maximum power. Peak torque could be in tune of 62 Nm. In line with the new norms for two-wheelers, the engine will comply with the new BSIV emission norms. The motor will come mated to a 6-speed Manual Transmission. In comparison, the Continental GT 535 outputs just 29 BHP and 44 Nm. Also, it comes mated to a 5-speed transmission.
There are good chances that the 750 cc RE bike will share its brakes and with the as the GT 535. The Royal Enfield motorcycle boasts conventional telescopic forks up front and twin shock-absorbers. It is built around a twin-cradle chassis. Braking duties will be courtesy of a 300 mm disc brake at front and a 240 mm disc brake at the rear. Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 cc Mileage

Highway | 20 KMPL |
Overall | 17.5 KMPL |
One can’t expect a really high mileage from a big-displacement motorcycle like this. Expect a peak mileage of 20 KMPL. In urban riding conditions, the motorcycle is likely to offer as low as 15 KMPL.
Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 cc Design
In terms of design, the Interceptor will look pretty much a lot like the Conti GT535. This means the upcoming motorcycle will retain the very tasty retro-style cafe racer appearance. The changes in the looks will be caused by a twin exhaust setup, new turn indicators, new badges, fatter tyres and a bigger engine. Other than this, the new bike will use the same headlamp, same speedo console, and mostly the same panels. Even the fuel tank will look the same, but it will have a larger fuel-carrying capacity. The 750cc Interceptor motorcycle will be built around a twin-downtube cradle frame. This will be a revised version of the Harris Performance-sourced architecture for the Conti GT535. Even the seat, tail-piece and taillight will come from the current 535cc model.
Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 cc Dimensions
Length | 2060 mm |
Width | 760 mm |
Height | 1070 mm |
Ground Clearance | 140 mm |
The new 750cc motorcycle to wear the RE badge will look much like the Conti GT750. However, there will be slight changes in the dimensions. There will be a small increment in the wheelbase due to the bigger engine. However, we don’t think other areas will be much different. Also, while the 535cc Conti GT weighs 184 KGs, the upcoming 750cc Interceptor will weigh considerably more.
