The waiting period for Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and GT 650 have gone down now. Last month, buyers had to wait for up to 4-6 months for the bikes.
Finally, some good news for the Royal Enfield 650 Twins buyers. The buyers will now have to wait lesser for the Interceptor 650 and GT 650. Till last month, the period was up to 6 months for most of the states.
Now, the waiting period for the Interceptor 650 and GT 650 has come down to two-four months. Reports suggest that Jaipur, Delhi and Mumbai have the least period and the former one literally has no waiting.
The maximum waiting is in Pune, Kolkata and Bengaluru; up to 5 months. Thanks to the the manufacturer, speeding up the production capacity, the deliveries will now be easier.

A couple of months back, RE had confirmed that it will increase the production capacity from 2,500 units every month to 4500-5000 units a month. The timeline was not mentioned, but the speeding up process seems to have started now.
Our dealership sources suggest that Interceptor 650 is facing a slightly higher waiting period than the GT 650. Of course, most of the buyers are preferring the relaxed riding position rather than the crouched position on the GT 650.
Meanwhile, Royal Enfield is also offering free software updates for the 650 Twins. Reports suggest that both the bikes face issues like high-rev stalling. To correct this and increase fuel efficiency, they are offering free updates. The existing owners can go to the nearest service centre for the same.
The accessories list is also set to increase for all the RE motorcycle. The 650 Twins will be soon offered with more options for saddle bags, windscreen and alloy wheels as well.

The Interceptor 650 and Continental GT get a 648cc air-cooled parallel-twin cylinder engine that churns 47 BHP and 52 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The INT is priced from Rs 2.5 Lakhs to Rs 2.7 Lakhs and the GT goes for Rs 2.65 Lakhs to Rs 2.85 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom).
