Royal Enfield is all set to launch the Himalayan 450 in India. However, the first motorcycle crashed during the testing phase.
Royal Enfield is one of the most loved motorcycle brands in the Indian market. It has been consistently bringing new models. The company is all set to launch the 450cc Himalayan pretty soon. Currently, it is being tested on Indian roads. Recently, one of the test units met with an accident. The pictures of the crashed adventure tour have gone viral now. Let’s take a closer look!

Front-end Heavily Damaged
As you can see in the above image, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 test mule crashed from the front. The front-end is heavily damaged. You can see the damage on the headlamps, the handlebar, the radiator, and the wheels. Even the steel rim is completely damaged. You can see liquid on the ground. As of now, the details of the accident have not been revealed as yet. This is not the first time the test mule has been involved in an accident.
Apart from the terrible accident, the new images have revealed the details of the upcoming bike. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will come with a new set of dual-purpose tires, LED turn indicators, and different levers. While the brake lever features a gloss black finish, the clutch lever gets a metal finish. Overall, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 sports a muscular look with side mounts for jerry cans. The exhaust looks similar to the Scram 411.

Looks a Lot like Royal Enfield Himalayan 411cc
The design of the upcoming bike seems inspired by the 411 cc Himalayan. It will get USD forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the back. Additionally, the upcoming bike is expected to come with a TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and dual-channel ABS. Several rumors also hinted at the switchable ABS. For transmission, it is said to get a 6-speed gearbox with a Slip-Assist clutch.

The adventure bike will be powered by a 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that offers 40 bhp of power and 35-40 Nm of peak torque. Royal Enfield is also working on a roadster motorcycle with the same engine. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to be launched in the Indian market next year. As of now, there is no information about its price tag. The upcoming bike will compete with the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310 GS, and Yezdi Scrambler.
