Royal Enfield has introduced a black paint option for the Continental GT 535
Royal Enfield recently introduced a black paint option for its Continental GT 535. Until now, the GT 535 cafe racer was available only in a red and a yellow paint shade. The Royal Enfield GT 535 Cafe Racer was launched in late 2013 and has garnered quite a fan following among both bike aficionados and RE fans. The recently introduced Royal Enfield Continental GT black colour option will be made available to all the markets where this bike is being sold. Worth a mention here is that India is the first market to get the Royal Enfield Continental GT black colour option, with the bike going on sale for INR 2,13,142 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 pays homage to the manufacturer’s 1965 Continental GT and provides an amalgam of ‘cafe racer’ style with modern day mechanicals and a frame that sees input from UK-based Harris Performance.
Powering the Royal Enfield Continental GT is a 535cc single-cylinder fuel injected motor that benefits from RE’s twin spark plugs technology. The engine pumps out a maximum power of 29.5PS and a peak torque of 44Nm, and comes mated with a slick shifting 5-speed gearbox. The bike comes with 41mm front forks and Paoli gas-charged twin shock absorbers at the rear. Keeping in with the Cafe Racer styling, the Continental GT gets spoke wheels, which come shod with sticky Pirelli Sport Demon tires.
