The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Green Fly is basically a regular Classic 500 that has been tastefully transformed into a beautiful off roader. This modified Classic 500 is built around the frame of a Royal Enfield Continental GT. It is being claimed that employing the Conti GT’s frame was made possible by modifying the upper tubes. It may be noted that the Cafe Racer’s frame is more robust and hence, more suitable for application in an off roader. Also, the Continental’s frame is more mod-friendly. The bike has been given a green paint with black decals. The end result is a bike that looks decidedly rugged and definitely very attractive.

The headlamp can be easily mounted and dismounted. It is, however, at the rear where one can find a drastic difference between the Green Fly and a stock Classic 500. The dual springs of the Classic have been binned in favor of a monoshock setup. On the other hand, the Green Fly gets inverted forks (USDs) up front. The bike gets knobby tyres to help make it all that better when treading off the beaten tarmac. The front tyre is of 140-spec while the rear is of 150-spec. Rear brakes have been carried over from the Continental GT. The front disc, however, is petal-type.
