Renault Zoe is an all-electric car that has been spotted testing in India on a couple of occasions
Thru a recent teaser image posted on the company’s official Instagram page, Renault India has hinted at the India debut of the Renault Zoe electric car at the fast-approaching Auto Expo 2018. It may be noted here that the Renault Zoe is already on sale in European markets and has been previously spied testing on Indian public roads. While Renault India doesn’t seem to have plans to launch the Zoe in immediate future, the company could be planning to showcase its technical prowess in EVs thru the Zoe.

As you can see in the teaser image above, Renault has used a closeup of Zoe’s headlamp and boomerang-shaped LED guide light. Thia EV is basically a mid-size hatchback that measures 4,084 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width, and 1,562 mm in height. The all-electric hatchback has a wheelbase of 2,588 mm. It has a bootspace of 338-litres, which can be boosted to 1,225 mm by folding the rear seats.
Powering the Renault Zoe EV is an electric motor that outputs a maximum power of 92 PS and a peak torque of 225 Nm for the R90 variant and 88 PS and 220 Nm for the Q90 variant. The car gets two battery options – 41 kWh and 22 kWh. With the 41 kWh batter, the car has a range of 403 KMs on the R90 variant and 370 KMs on the Q90 variant. With the 22kWh battery, the R90 has a range of 240 KMs on a single charge.
As we said, Renault India doesn’t seem to have any plans of launching the Zoe in our country. This EV will, however, play the role of a technology demonstrator for the brand at the motor show.
