The electric vehicle market is catching up globally thanks to the increase in demand for alternative fuel and growing concern for the environment. The 2018 Renault Zoe Electric car was spotted testing in Bengaluru recently. The EV was seen undergoing trial runs in order to check its compatibility with the region as a fleet vehicle under Lithium Urban Technologies. The Bengaluru based firm is planning to bring in multiple units of electric vehicles into its fleet and has been testing products from various manufacturers.

Renault Zoe Electric Car India Release Date
Renault is likely to showcase the 2018 Renault Zoe EV at the upcoming Auto Expo next month. The Zoe will mark the technology demonstrator for the brand at the show. Featuring a range of about 400 km in the European Driving Cycle and can charge the empty battery to 80 percent in just 65 minutes. Electric vehicles have taken the centre stage in all the international motor shows by almost all manufacturers.
Renault Zoe Electric Car Specifications
The 2018 Renault Zoe EV features a real-world driving range of 300 km. This is achieved by the latest 41kWh battery that replaced the 22kWh battery on the older model. Comfort features include a hands-free key card with push-button start/stop, leather upholstery, rear parking camera, heated seats and 16-inch alloy wheels. Renault is evaluating to launch the Zoe EV in India. However, the company officials claim that the government should prepare a roadmap for electric vehicles and the infrastructure need to be improved for the mass acceptance of electric vehicles in the nation.
Renault’s JV partner Nissan was recently spotted testing their own electric counterpart the Note e-Power in India a couple of weeks ago. Nissan is planning to launch the range extender in India soon. In 2017, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance claimed to launch 12 new vehicles in India by the year 2022.

Renault officials have not confirmed the launch of the upcoming 2018 Renault Zoe EV yet be we believe the company is evaluating the process right now. The Zoe EV will be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. We expect the upcoming electric vehicle to launch sometime next year. The Renault Zoe EV is on sale in certain parts of the world like Europe where the range starts around €28,000 (INR 21,29,792). Since we expect Renault to import the Zoe EV as CBU, it will attract high import duty leading to an exorbitant price tag.
