With the Renault Triber doing such great sales numbers, the brand has achieved 63% growth in month-on-month sales, making them one of the best selling carmakers in October.
Renault launched the Triber a couple of months ago, and by its form, it showed great potential. Now, the Renault Triber has achieved a new milestone by crossing the 10,000 sales mark. The 10,001st Renault Triber was recently handed over to a customer at the company’s Mumbai dealership, Benchmark Motors.
The Triber has become a great success story for Renault, giving the French car maker a wholesales figure of 11,516 units for the month of October. That’s a record 63% growth in month-on-month sales from what was sold last year in the same month. This makes Renault one of the best performing carmakers in terms of sales for October, 2019. Renault has overtaken Honda’s sales for the month (10,010 units) but still trails behind Kia (12,850 units) and Toyota (11,866 units).
Talking about the Triber’s sales milestone Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations said, “The festive season has begun on a good note for Renault India, and we are thankful to our customers for the encouraging response to our new game-changer, Renault Triber. With 10,000 cars already delivered and a strong bookings pipeline, we have ramped up the production and are taking concerted efforts to further accelerate production to enable faster deliveries and best in class quality. Together with the metro cities, Renault Triber has seen wide acceptance in the rural markets as well, and we have a robust strategy to build our presence across these markets, which offers significant growth potential.”

The Renault Triber is a very unique car, the only one of its kind. Its seven-seater sub-4 meter MPV that has been given SUV styling elements. It has all the essential elements to make it a great product for India. The Triber is based on a modified version of the CMF-A platform, the same platform that underpins the Kwid. It also a pretty ahndsome looking car with very good proportions and comes with projector headlamps, LED DRLs, electric boot release, chunky bumpers, body cladding, smart-looking wheels, functional roof rails and more.

Renault has also equipped the Triber very well. It comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, and a first-of-its-kind modular third row called EasyFix. In fact, its seating has to be one of the biggest USPs of the Triber. Renault claims a 100 different seating configurations is possible with the Triber. Safety features like – dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, load limiter + pretensioner (driver only), speed alert warning, seat belt reminder – driver + passenger, rear parking sensor, pedestrian protection are also standard. The top-end model gets 4 airbags.
