The Triber is proving to be a new hot-seller for Renault in India. The company has crossed 18,500 units in just four months, also contributing to overall growth in sales.
The Triber is proving to be a very successful product for the Renault brand in India. Renault has just crossed the 18,500 sales mark with the Triber in India. Since its launch in August, its been just four months and company has sold 18,511 units of the Triber, as of November 30, 2019. In fact, in three out of these last four months, the Triber surpassed the Renault Kwid as the company best-selling model in India.
Breaking up the monthly sales of the Triber, Renault sold 2,490 units of the Triber in August, 4,710 units in September, 5,240 units in October, and 6,071 units in November. In fact, the Triber has constituted for about 56% of Renault’s total sales in November. While all these above-mention figures are the company’s wholesale numbers, Renault has delivered more than 10,000 units of the Triber as of October 2019. This certainly makes it the most popular car out of the French carmaker’s India stable, just as the Duster and the Kwid were at one point of time.
The Triber has also contributed to Renault witnessing a 77% year-on-year growth for the month of November. Last month, Renault India’s total domestic sales stood at 10,882 units, as against the 6134 vehicles sold in November 2018. Similarly, October 2019 also was a strong month, with Renault selling 11, 516 cars during the Diwali month, registering a growth of 63%, as compared to the 7,066 units sold during the same month last year.

The Renault Triber is a very unique car, the only one of its kind. Its seven-seater sub-4 meter MPV that has been given SUV styling elements. It has all the essential elements to make it a great product for India. The Triber is based on a modified version of the CMF-A platform, the same platform that underpins the Kwid. It also a pretty ahndsome looking car with very good proportions and comes with projector headlamps, LED DRLs, electric boot release, chunky bumpers, body cladding, smart-looking wheels, functional roof rails and more.

Renault has also equipped the Triber very well. It comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, and a first-of-its-kind modular third row called EasyFix. In fact, its seating has to be one of the biggest USPs of the Triber. Renault claims a 100 different seating configurations is possible with the Triber. Safety features like – dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, load limiter + pretensioner (driver only), speed alert warning, seat belt reminder – driver + passenger, rear parking sensor, pedestrian protection are also standard. The top-end model gets 4 airbags.
