Renault has silently hiked the prices of Triber AMT in just 3 months of it being launched in India. Check here for the revised list.
Renault Triber AMT was launched in the month of May and received instant popularity in the market. First of all, its one of the most practical cars right now and plus it gets the convenience of an automatic. AMT variants start off at a very affordable price, now from Rs 6.25 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
Renault has silently hiked the prices of Triber by Rs 7,500 across MT and AMT variants. Like always, the base-spec RXE trim continues to be sold at a price of Rs 4.99 Lakhs. However, all the other variants receive a price hike. Here is the detailed list:
Variant | Manual | AMT |
RXE | 4,99,000 | – |
RXL | 5,85,500 | 6,25,500 |
RXT | 6,35,500 | 6,75,500 |
RXZ | 6,89,500 | 7,29,500 |

We are not sure about the reason for the price hike. The top-end RXZ manual variant is now priced at Rs 6,89,500 and the AMT variant goes for 7,29,500 (ex-showroom). Increasing manufacturing costs and to make up for the losses that were incurred during the lockdown might be some reasons for this hike.
Triber comes with a standard 1.0 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine that can produce 72 PS and 91 Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. There are strong speculations suggesting that Renault might introduce a turbocharged version of the same engine later on for the MPV.
It is a 7-seater MPV which is just about 3.95 metres long. The third row is suitable for children but with some adjustments, you can fit 2 adults as well. One of the most unique features is that you can remove the third seat and make it a 5-seater with a huge boot. You can further fold the second row seats to make an even bigger boot.
