Renault is planning to bring its new 7-seater MPV in the Indian markets. The MPV is based on the extended platform of Kwid, but will match the size and price range of 2018 Maruti Ertiga.
Renault has started testing its MPV in the Indian markets. It has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage couple of times. Along with the exterior outline of the MPV, we also get an idea of its interiors.
The Renault RBC MPV gets a dual-tone dashboard theme with brushed silver and chrome inserts over AC vents, steering wheel and instrument cluster. Large touchscreen infotainment is spotted in the centre-console. There are chances of the same unit that comes in the Duster.

For engine purposes, many speculate that the MPV might get a 1.0 Litre Turbocharged petrol engine. The Kwid uses a regular version of this engine. However, it might indeed borrow engines from Renault Duster.
So, there are chances of a 1.5 Litre petrol engine as well as a 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol variant produces 106 BHP and 142 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine puts out 85 BHP and 200 Nm of torque.
Renault also offers a more powerful diesel engine, that produces 110 BHP and 245 Nm of torque.
The petrol engine comes mated to a 5-speed MT with the option of CVT. The diesel engine comes with a 6-speed MT and AMT as an option.
We expect the prices of Renault RBC MPV to be between Rs 7 Lakhs to Rs 10 Lakhs. The recent spy shot of the MPV makes it look as bigger as 2018 Maruti Ertiga.
