Renault Kwid facelift is gearing for its launch in 2020 and several spy shots have been surfacing on the internet that how the new Kwid may look like.
The camouflaged Kwid here gets black ORVM’s and steel wheels. The car here can be expected as the base variant which receives some changes from the pre-lift Kwid. The current base variant of Renault Kwid does not get wheel covers and passenger side ORVM.
The changes on the exteriors include restyled bumpers, new front grille, changed tail lamps and split headlamp design. This will make the car look sporty and imposing at the same time and the design concept is ahead than its competition. The new lights will get dual-barrels set-up which will enhance the illumination of the car. Design of the facelifted Kwid has been borrowed slightly from the City KZ-E.

Coming to the interiors, it can be expected the car gets new upholstery and new dashboard design. The manufacturer could also introduce a new trim just to add features which will segregate according to the customers need. The infotainment system is likely to retain to Media Nav 4.0 which we have seen already. The 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity.
The safety features are likely to remain the same, the car will get ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and seat belt reminder for both driver and passenger. The chassis of the car is newly built and will suffice the crash test norms which are likely to come into effect from October 2019.

Renault Kwid will get the upgraded BS-VI 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol motor which will be mated to a 5-speed manual as well as automatic transmission. The on-going model of Kwid produces 54bhp with 73Nm of torque and the 1.0-litre motor generates 68bhp with 92Nm of torque.
Currently, the Kwid competes with Maruti Alto800 and Datsun Redi-GO. Maruti Alto800 recently received an upgraded BS-VI petrol engine ahead of emission norms.
Current model of the Renault Kwid starts at a price of Rs 2.71 lakh and goes up to Rs 4.66 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant.
