The Renault KWID 2018 update sees this entry-level hatchback come with features like reverse camera, rear seat armrest and a 12V power socket at the back.
Renault India has today launched a minor update for its entry-level hatchback KWID in India. The compact hatch which saw the French automaker garner major sales number after the success of the Duster now comes with a slightly better feature list and safety kit. These changes and upgrades are done across the range and on both the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre versions of the car. Interestingly, these increase in features is offered at no additional cost.
These upgrades come at a time when the KWID has completed a sales mark of 2,50,000 in our country. Mind you, this upgrade is not a facelift and just a minor update in terms of the car’s features and safety kit. The full mid-cycle refresh for this hatchback is due next year.

Since this upgrade is not a facelift, the KWID’s exterior and interior design remains the same as before. Aesthetically, only the top-end RXT (O) trims, in both the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre version now come with new ‘razor edge’ chrome front grille. Inside the cabin, the KWID gets ‘stylised chrome’ near the gear knob. Again, this visual update is only available on the top-spec trims.

The RXL variant can be bought with additional accessories Front Power window and Remote Central Locking. Buyers of the KWID Climber edition gets a rear seat arm-rest.
In addition to all of this, the Renault KWID is now also offered with Rear ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor). This allows the rear seat belt to freely extend and retract with occupant movement, yet locks the belt during a sudden stop or upon impact.
