Renault has officially announced the prices of its latest product in the Indian market, the Kiger. Touted as the most affordable compact SUV in the Indian market, the Kiger, certainly, has delivered on that promise. In fact, it undercuts the competition significantly in the compact SUV segment. Moreover, like its sibling, the Nissan Magnite, the Kiger tries to intrude into the space of the premium hatchback segment as well. In fact, almost all the premium hatchbacks are more expensive than the Kiger. This has initiated a tug of war between segments and the buyers are left with a plethora of options to choose from. For the industry, it is a good thing, but for some particular segments, it can lead to a lot of chaos. Since we have already covered the details of the Kiger, let us glance through the key features of the Renault Kiger.

The rivals of the Renault Kiger will be hard to establish because of the aggressive pricing. The direct rival will be its sibling, the Nissan Magnite, then there will be segment rivals like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. Because of the pricing, it might give a tough competition to the premium hatchbacks like the Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo, Honda Jazz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The bookings for the Kiger have been started with Rs 11,000 across all dealership locations in the country.
