While Renault India shot to limelight with the success of Duster, its current lineup includes the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger
Renault India has announced the achievement of the 900,000 sales milestone. With this, the local subsidiary of the French carmaker becomes of the youngest carmakers to achieve this feat. For the uninitiated, the renowned car manufacturer commenced its local innings in 2011 with the Fluence and Koleos. By 2012, it expanded its range with more mass-market products – Pulse, Scala, and Duster. Its current lineup includes the Kwid, Triber and Kiger.
In the last 11 years, Renault India has established a network of over 450 sales and 530 service touchpoints. As per Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations, “We are extremely thrilled to have crossed the 9-lac sales milestone in India. This incredible journey has been made possible by the unwavering support and belief in the brand from our esteemed customers, dedicated dealer partners, valued suppliers, and our exceptional team of employees, and engineering professionals. Kiger

Launched in 2021, the Renault Kiger is one of the most competitively priced offerings in the sub-compact SUV segment. In spite of being one of the freshest-looking offerings, it recently received a minor update that brings in a handful of safety features. Powering the Kiger is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that offers a segment-leading fuel economy of 20.62 km/l. Another highlight of the Maruti Brezza- and Tata Nexon-rival is the 4-star safety rating for adult occupant safety by Global NCAP.

Triber

Available at a starting price of Rs 6.33 lakh (ex-showroom), the Triber is the country’s most affordable MPV. The sub-4-metre offering has impressed many with its value proposition. The Triber offers a highly flexible interior that can accommodate up to seven adults. It even offers a boot space of 625-litre, which is the highest in the price segment. Moreover, like the Kiger, the Triber boasts a 4-Star Safety Rating for Adult occupant safety by Global NCAP.

Kwid

Launched in 2015, the Renault Kwid is currently the oldest model in its carmaker’s lineup. It is, in fact, even the most affordable of the lot and goes on to lock horns with the Maruti Alto. While the Kwid was available with 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines until recently, the former was discontinued with the advent of the latest emission norms. The Kwid has been highly successful due to its Dustrer-inspired looks, good ride quality and reasonably peppy engine. Some other highlights include best-in-class features and an economical cost of ownership.
