Renault has been busy with the launch of the new compact SUV, the Kiger in India. It is of course based on the same platform as its cousin, the Nissan Magnite and expectedly massively under-cuts the rivals in the segment. Renault and Nissan have been coming out with such popular products at an aggressive price point in order to gain some market share for themselves in our price-conscious market. That has indeed helped with the sales of Renault and Nissan. Magnite can be considered the sole reason for Nissan’s astonishing 184% growth in sales in January 2021 as compared to the same month last year. Renault would hope that the Kiger does the same for it.

Renualt – Sales Report
Renault was able to sell 8,209 units in January 2021 in comparison to 7,805 units back in 2020. This marks a modest growth of over 5%. While this is a healthy figure considering the brand gets almost all its sales from two products, Triber and Kwid, it will still try to grow much quicker and bigger. That is precisely why it has launched the Kiger. Placed in the fastest-growing and the most popular segment in the country, the compact SUV segment, Kiger can impact the sales of Renault quite positively. Kiger has already been revealed in January and the launch is about to take place very soon. This will further boost the sales of Renault.
