Renault Duster AWD 125 TCe with a 1.2-litre petrol engine showcased at Geneva
Popular European carmaker Renault recently announced a new engine option for the Dacia Duster. The new Renault Duster AWD TCe will go on sale in 2016 and will come with a new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The upcoming variant was recently showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where the company announced its plans of launching this new engine variant of its highly successful model. In Europe, where the Duster is sold by Dacia, the new low capacity turbocharged motor will replace the current 2.0-litre petrol motor. Engine Details
The new 1200cc petrol engine that will power the upcoming Duster variant pumps out a maximum power of 123 hp and a peak torque of 250 Nm that is available between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm. The motor will come mated with a six-speed manual transmission that will send power to all four wheels. The upcoming model will come equipped with a start-stop system and an energy recuperation system.

As we said earlier, the new 1.2-litre turbocharged engine will replace the current 2.0-litre normally aspirated petrol motor in European markets. In India, the Renault Duster has been on sale with a 1.5-litre turbocharged oil burner and a 1.6-litre normally aspirated petrol engine. The manufacturer hasn’t yet announced any plans of bringing the new 1.2-litre turbocharged motor to our shores.
