BMW is planning to become the official sponsor of some of the biggest football clubs in the world.
Here is a video of the Real Madrid players and coach getting their electric BMW cars. As a part of the contract signed between Real Madrid and BMW, the players are eligible to get the EVs. This is shown in the video where each player gets a number plate with his name on it. The Spanish football club is arguably the richest and biggest football club in the world. BMW inked a sponsorship with Real Madrid in July this year. After this, BMW also struck a deal with the Italian giants, AC Milan. Let us take a look at the players and their swanky BMW EVs.

Real Madrid Players Get BMW EVs
There are two EVs that are being offered to the players – i4 and iX. The prominent players taking home the i4 electric sedan are Courtois, Ceballos, Mendy, Ballon d’Or Winner Karim Benzema, Asensio and the coach of the team, Carlo Ancelotti. On the other hand, teammates who opted for the iX electric SUV include Carvajal, Nacho, Rudiger, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Valverde, Hazard, and Rodrygo among others. The first-division women’s team also got the electric cars from the German luxury marque.

BMW iX
The iX comes with a 77 kWh battery pack that powers the 2 electric motors for an all-wheel-drive configuration. The total system output is 326 hp and 630 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. The claimed WLTP range is a decent 425 km. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is a respectable 6.1 secs despite it being a bulky SUV. This is aided by an incredible drag coefficient of 0.25. Using the 150 kW DC fast charger, the 95 km range could be achieved within 10 mins.

BMW i4
The i4 comes powered by an 83.9 kWh battery that powers the electric motor to produce 340 hp and 430 Nm of peak power and torque. This powertrain propels the i4 from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 secs. The WLTP driving range is between 493 km and 590 km. Using 205 kW DC fast charging, the EV could be charged from 10%-80% in just 31 mins.
