Real Cost of Toyota Fortuner
This post comes from anvit_tyagi on Instagram. He categorically breaks down the cost structure of the Fortuner. To begin with, he says that the actual price of the SUV is around Rs 26 lakh. The government of India imposes a tax of 28% because the car is over 4 m in length and has an engine capacity of 2.8 litres. These attract the highest taxes in our country in the mass market segment. On top of that, there is an additional 22% cess. Furthermore, you also have to pay the road tax and green tax, taking the final price to around Rs 45 lakh. Hence, you are paying almost Rs 19 lakh on taxes alone.
