Modern YouTubers are often spotted comparing the performances of prominent bikes and cars in a drag race competition.
This drag race event between the RE Guerrilla 450 and KTM RC 390 is intriguing. Ever since the launch of the Guerrilla 450, YouTubers have been conducting such competitions on a regular basis. In fact, I have reported drag races with most rivals in this space. Guerrilla 450 is a roadster with the engine of the Himalayan. On the other hand, KTM makes some of the most performance-focused motorcycles in our market. Hence, this rivalry is bound to be exhilarating. Let us find out who comes out on top.
RE Guerrilla 450 vs KTM RC 390 Drag Race
The details of this video arrive from Gaurav dc on YouTube. In this drag race, the RE Guerrilla 450 and KTM RC 390 are side by side. For the first round, the YouTuber takes the RC 390, while his partner has the Guerrilla 450. On the count of three, the two riders accelerate hard. Initially, both motorcycles remain close to each other. But soon, the KTM pulled itself ahead and stayed there for the entire race. The Royal Enfield had no chance to catch up. To maintain consistency of results and take into consideration the driving mannerisms, the riders were swapped for the second round. However, what remained the same was the result. Hence, the KTM RC 390 was the unequivocal winner of this competition.

The RE Guerrilla 450 comes with a 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC 4-valve Sherpa engine which produces a decent 40.02 PS @8,000 RPM and 40 Nm @5,500 RPM of peak power and torque. Performing the transmission duties is a 6-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate and slip-and-assist clutch with ride-by-wire technology. The motorcycle bears a price tag between Rs 2.39 lakh and Rs 2.54 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, the KTM RC 390 has a 373-cc engine which generates 43.5 PS and 37 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox. It has a price tag of Rs 3.21 lakh, ex-showroom.

Our View
A drag race is an event which is often conducted by YouTubers to test the straight-line acceleration of two vehicles. However, I must urge our readers to not attempt this since it could bear lethal consequences. Most YouTubers often take precautions behind the scenes. That is why you should not imitate them blindly. Apart from that, we know that it is not possible to ride motorcycles in this manner on a daily basis. The road and traffic conditions in routine environments are quite different. Therefore, I don’t find much logic to these drag race events.
