The RE Classic 350 is amongst the top 10 best selling bikes in India in August 2018. A lifestyle bike is now competing with commuter bikes on the list. Other bikes on the list include commuter as well as commuter-friendly sporty bikes.
In the best selling bikes of the year or of a particular month, we expect only commuter bikes to make it to the list. Bikes like Bajaj CT 100, Pulsar, Apache and Hero Splendor are best sellers in the market. However, in the month of August 2018, a lifestyle bike has made it to the list. The RE Classic 350 is on the 9th position in the list of top 10 best selling bikes for August. It is a great achievement as Royal Enfield bikes are pure lifestyle oriented bikes and not daily commuter friendly bikes.
RE Classic 350 remains the best selling Royal Enfield bike, followed by Bullet 350 Twinspark and Thunderbird 350. It stands on 9th position in the list, ahead of the Apache series.

Yes, you heard it right. Total 44,610 Classic 350s were sold in August, whereas 38,387 Apache were sold in the same period. For the past 3-4 months, Classic 350 has been maintaining its figures on the list.
Moreover, as we see the changing trends, people are accepting the concept of lifestyle bikes. As per various reports, for the past 1-2 years, the average budget for a bike in India stands above Rs 1 Lakh. Which means, more and more people are buying bikes, priced above Rs 1 Lakh.
Due to ever-increasing traffic situations, people prefer two-wheelers for office commutes, even if it is long. So, it becomes very tough to take a 110cc bike for a daily commute of around 60-70 kms. For such trips, you have to buy a more powerful bike.

The RE Classic 350 comes with a 346cc air-cooled Twin-Spark engine. The engine produces 19.8 BHP of max. power and 28 Nm of torque. The mileage estimated on this bike is around 35 kmpl.
Recently, Royal Enfield has started equipping its bikes with dual-channel ABS feature. The first one to get was the Classic Signals 350, followed by Himalayan and Classic 500. Now, all the Classic 350 variants get a rear disc brake. The ABS fitment for the same is also coming soon.
