Rani Panda, a popular actor and opera (jatra) artist in Odisha had an accident in her new Hyundai Venue. The artist was travelling in the co-driver seat when her compact SUV had a head-on collision with a Bajaj Pulsar 220 in the Athagrah area of the Cuttack district.

Rider Dies During Treatment, Actor Unhurt
While the entire front-end of the Hyundai Venue was totalled, the actor is unhurt. Unfortunately, though, the rider of the Bajaj Pulsar 220 succumbed to serious injuries while being treated in the hospital. The deceased has been identified as one Sukant Behera (28). He belongs to the Rajanagar village.
As is being reported, the accident happened around 10 PM last night. Rani was returning from a wedding but her car had a head-on collision with the Bajaj Pulsar 220 at the Dalakhai Chhak. The rider was immediately rushed to the SCB Hospital in Cuttack but couldn’t survive. Soon after the accident, several locals reached the location and demanded compensation for the rider of the Bajaj Pulsar 220. The police pacified the crowd and took Rani and her drier into custody.

The driver of the Hyundai Venue was detained for further questioning but Rani Panda was released after some time. It is noteworthy that the artist has been in the limelight for making a name for herself for her bold dance performances. She has also created news for her controversial statements and charity during the pandemic.

There are options of choosing from a 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT transmissions. The prices of the 2022 Hyundai Venue range from Rs 7.53 lakh to Rs 12.57 lakh, ex-showroom.
