Recognising this, BSA Motorcycles has delivered the first-ever BSA Gold Star 650 of Rajasthan to Prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur. Prince Lakshyaraj is well-known for his rare collector of heritage artifacts and antique cars. The new Gold Star 650 becomes the latest highlight of his treasure.
New BSA Gold Star 650: Retro Meets Modern
The new BSA Gold Star 650 went on sale in India on August 15, 2024. The neo-retro motorcycle offers an amalgam of classic Brit aesthetics and modern tech. Some of the key highlights of this motorcycle include:
- Largest single-cylinder engine in India: A 652cc liquid-cooled mill outputting 45 hp and 55 Nm.
- Powerful Braking System: Brembo brakes with dual-channel ABS.
- Avantgarde Hardware: Excel rims shod with Pirelli tires to aid handling and control.
- Color Options: Six colour options, with Legacy Edition in Silver Sheen paying homage to the original design.
First launched back in 1938, the original Gold Star set many speed records, It went on to become a dominant force on in the world of circuit racing. The new iteration tries to capture this legacy, whilst offering the value proposition of a mass-market road-going middleweight. It’s designed by Redline Studios in the UK and engineered by Ricardo. The engine tuning is courtesy Technical University of Graz. The new model is on sale at select dealerships across India. Prices start at Rs 2.99 Lakh (ex-showroom).
