The glimpses of the interior seen in the new teaser make us wonder if the vehicle in question here is actually the Mahindra XUV900 e-SUV
Mahindra & Mahindra will take the covers off not one but as many as three electric SUV concepts in July 2022. The new concepts will be a part of the company’s ”Born Electric Vision” campaign and would spawn out production models that will possibly launch between 2023 to 2025. In a new development, the carmaker has released yet another teaser that gives us an idea of the interior of the future-ready Mahindra XUV900 e-SUV.

Mahindra XUV900 Concept Interior Teased?
As you must have noticed in the video teaser we have above, Mahindra has concealed most of the cabin of the upcoming concept, with the only visible pieces being the flat top steering wheel and red ambient lighting. However, some tinkering with a couple of screenshots of the video has revealed a lot more. There’s a single-piece arrangement for the infotainment as well as the instrument cluster, a la Mahindra XUV700. Moreover, the dashboard will have a rather clean look. It’s a bit early to comment but the basic structure of the dashboard along with the modern design theme makes us wonder if the vehicle in question here is actually the concept version of the Mahindra XUV900.
The homegrown carmaker announced the ‘Born Electric Vehicle’ platform last year and the dedicated EV architecture will play a crucial role in the company’s future prospects in the electric car market. While details of the three eSUVs that will take birth under the company’s ambitious project are scarce presently, the two teaser videos we’ve seen so far give us a slight idea of what to expect from the Mahindra XUV900 concept in terms of aesthetics. Of course, they would be the work of Pratap Bose, who was appointed as the Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer at Mahindra back in June last year.
3 Mahindra Electric SUVs to be Unveiled in July
The three electric SUVs that are to be unveiled later this year will likely feature aggressive front- and rear-end styling with ample use of LED lighting fixtures. We can expect the overall styling package to be an evolution of what we see on the XUV700, which means the vehicles could have boldly sculpted surfaces along with an aggressive stance. There are good chances that the new range of EVs would comprise a compact SUV, mid-size SUV and an SUV-coupe crossover. In all chances, these would be models based on the Mahindra XUV300, Mahindra XUV700 and Mahindra XUV900 based on the XUV Aero concept unveiled donkey’s years ago. These vehicles have been designed at Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE), the West Midland’s based design centre of the carmaker in UK.

The introduction of the new-age EVs should act as a shot in the arm of the Indian carmaker, which pioneered the Indian EV space with eVerito and Maini-based offerings. However, Mahindra was later seen losing the edge to Tata Motors as the arch rival came up with the Nexon- and Tigor-based offerings. Soon, however, we could see Mahindra upping the ante with a range of electric SUVs including the Mahindra XUV900 flagship.
