In a bizarre turn of events, the Police ended up issuing a challan to the Mahindra Thar owner who had installed a changing number plate on the SUV. I come across numerous strange incidents on the Indian roads. People have the tendency to perform incredibly stupid acts just to gain social media followers. In a bid to create viral videos, they often flaunt themselves while breaking the law. That is a concerning trend which a lot of youngsters have, unfortunately, taken up. Let us take a look at the details here.
Mahindra Thar With Changing Number Plate
This post comes from thecityheadlinesofficial on Instagram. The visuals showcase a Police officer narrating the entire chain of events. He mentions that the owner of the Thar was trying to hide his actual number plate using an automatic electronic system. It covers the number plate while on the move. In fact, the video clip highlights this act in real-time. Needless to say, the video became viral. That is when it also reached the Punjab Police. They sprung into action swiftly and located the culprit.
Under the Motor Vehicle Act, any activity which causes the number of the car to be hidden is deemed illegal. It attracts hefty fines as every car on the road needs to have its registration plate visible at all times. As a result, the Punjab Police slapped a huge challan on the driver of the Thar. Unfortunately, we don’t have the details of the exact amount. In any case, I, wholeheartedly, support this action by the Police. We must always adhere to the traffic regulations to ensure road safety.
Our View
I have come across tons of unusual activities by car owners in today’s age. Most of them get involved in crazy measures just to boost their followers on social media. On top of that, they constantly keep uploading such idiotic content just to gain views on a daily basis. The social media game has taken an ugly turn in the last few years. Everyone is seeking to create viral reels and YouTube shorts to increase their followers. Unfortunately, there are always people who love to follow such lunatics. I can only urge our readers to stay clear of such content creators and raise awareness about road safety around yourself.
