A Pakistani vlogger showcases the Suzuki WagonR hybrid. Note that the WagonR sold abroad is completely different from the one we have in India. In Japan, the culture of Kei cars has been widespread for decades. For the uninitiated, Kei cars represent compact vehicles designed primarily for city commutes. In fact, they are under 660-cc in engine capacity. The aim is to drive tiny cars within the city to ensure that they do not get stuck in traffic. Also, it is easy to manoeuvre such cars in parking lots and tight spaces. Let us take a look at the details of this case.
Pak-Vlogger Details WagonR Hybrid
This video comes from The Auto Exam on YouTube. The vlogger has the compact hybrid car in the flesh. At the front, it has a noticeable rectangular grille flanked by squarish headlamps, a sturdy bumper, and a rather compact bonnet. On the sides, it gets 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, and a hybrid badge on the fender. At the rear, the design is quite simple with a high-mount stop lamp, small and sleek taillamps, a plain boot lid and a subtle bumper. All in all, this is a straightforward city car.
On the inside, there are tons of useable amenities. These include ADAS, two headrests for rear seats, power windows, a push start/stop button, automatic climate control, electronically retractable ORVMs, parking sensors, traction control, an analog instrument cluster placed in the centre of the dashboard, heated seating for the driver, fabric seats, front armrest, dual airbags, sleek AC vents, tiny display for multimedia, tyre repair kit and 50:50 rear seat split. For a small car, the WagonR hybrid is well-equipped.
Specs
The WagonR hybrid comes with a 660-cc 3-cylinder hybrid engine. There are options of choosing between either a manual or an automatic transmission. In fact, the customers can even select from a 2WD or a 4WD drivetrain. It is capable of seating 4 passengers. This vehicle in the video has been driven for just over 14,000 km. In Pakistan, it is available on sale for Rs 39.75 lakh which translates to Rs 11.90 lakh in Indian currency. Considering the fact that it is a hybrid and comes with ADAS functions, this seems like a decent price.
