The Pajero Sport facelift version is expected to come later this year to India. It gets revised styling on inside and outside and will likely to continue with the 2.5L diesel engine.
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is a butch looking SUV but has had a tough time in the Indian market. It is mainly due to fewer service networks and well the rising competition of the mightly looking Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. Things are changing this time and India bound Pajero Sport Facelift has been spied in Thailand.
The 2019 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport receives a minor facelift for the international markets and this design will follow to India too. The exterior of the SUV is aggressive-looking due to the front fascia. Mind you, the car follows the ‘Dynamic Shield’ concept.
The front of the car gets a new grille design with triple chrome slats, new skid plate, new bumper design are some of the highlights. The model also receives split headlamp setup, large air dam with C-shaped chrome inserts and also gets a silver skid plate.

Moving onto the side profile, it receives double-spoke alloy wheel design, chrome door handles and ORVMs, roof rails and the rear quarter window is quite small of the car this big. The rear profile gets tweaked taillights, rear spoiler and a new bumper with skid plate.
As per the reports, the facelift Pajero Sport interior design is more or less the same. However, the SUV will get a new digital instrumental cluster along with a refreshed climate control panel.
The cabin inside follows an all-black theme along with a large touchscreen infotainment system which supports connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. To give the car an exquisite look it gets silver finishing on the gear knob, steering wheel, centre console and inside door handles. The car also gets a powered tailgate with hands-free as a feature.

Under the hood, there is not much information to reveal. We expect when it comes to the Indian market then it will carry a BS6 compliant engine with same 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. It produces 176 bhp with 400 Nm of peak torque. Currently, transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and 5-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode.
Once it comes to India it will see a price range of Rs 30 lakh which is a slight premium than the current Rs 28.05 lakh. It will compete with Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X and Ford Endeavour. All prices mentioned relates to ex-showroom, Delhi.
