Prominent aftermarket car modification houses, in recent times, have become so professional and experienced that they possess the capabilities to transform any vehicle into just about any other vehicle.
Yet another case has emerged where an old Toyota Fortuner has been converted into a new Legender. This highlights the expertise of aftermarket car shops. In recent times, I have spotted multiple cases where the owners of the old Fortuner often head to the aftermarket to modify the aesthetics of the SUV. Toyota cars are known for their reliability in terms of engines and other components. Hence, people just want to alter the exterior styling while keeping the old car. Let us dive into the details of this latest case.
Old Toyota Fortuner Converted into Legender
The details of this post come from Autorounders on YouTube. The car shop owner explains the details of all the alterations planned for this Fortuner. He mentions that this is the case where the customer wanted to go for the front and rear modifications. They also offer a complete customization but that is very expensive and involves jeopardizing the safety of the SUV. In this particular case, the front bumper, fender, headlamps, grille, and the rear bumper, tailgate, and taillamps are altered. They use imported products from the aftermarket and not genuine parts to keep the costs down.
Apart from that, they painted this Fortuner in a Pearl White shade which is a trademark of the Volvo XC90. On the inside, the customer wanted the car shop owner to utilize the tan brown upholstery since he installed these seat covers recently. Hence, in the final product, they made these black to offer an all-black theme for a sporty look. Even the front and rear sections resemble the Legender. In order to install the LED taillamps, there was a certain fabrication needed on the rear fenders. All in all, when the entire work was complete, it was hard to imagine that this was the old Fortuner. I am quite impressed by how the final product looks.
Our View
Now, I have mentioned in many previous posts that most aftermarket car modifications are illegal in India. However, the details of which customizations are allowed are available at the RTO. Therefore, I would recommend you to consult your local RTO to know whether or not the things you want to do on your vehicle fall under the purview of law or not. In that way, you won’t have any issues with the authorities later on.
