Established in the Coventry, Ola FutureFoundry will be a global centre for advanced engineering and vehicle design that will work in tandem with the company’s teams based in Bangalore
Days after announcing its plans of launching a four-wheeler EV, Ola Electric, famous for its recently introduced S1 range of e-scooters, has announced FutureFoundry, a global centre for advanced engineering and vehicle design that will be based on Coventry, a global hub for automotive design and engineering professionals.
Ola Futurefoundry will work hand-in-hand with the design and engineering teams based out of the Ola Campus in Bangalore, and it will be be home to talent from all parts of the world across various departments of 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers development. These will include digital and physical modelling, vehicle design, advanced high-performance automotive engineering, etc. It will also house talent that will focus on vehicle R&D around new energy systems including cell technologies. The company has earmarked more than USD 100 million investment in this state-of-the-art centre over the next five years. The company plans to employ more than 200 designers and automotive engineerings while this centre will even join hands with various education and research institutes in the United Kingdom to collaborate in the fields of research and development.
