Upcoming Okinawa i-Praise electric scooter has garnered over 450 bookings from the past month. The bookings stand open till 15th January, with the launch by month-end.
Okinawa is gearing up to launch its flagship i-Praise electric scooter. Last month, it commenced the bookings for same. With a target of 500 units within a month, it has already made 450 bookings within 15 days.
The bookings are open till 15th January. Post 500 units or the booking deadline, whichever is earlier, Okinawa i-Praise remains sold out. The expected launch of the scooter is by January-end.
Okinawa i-Praise will be their most premium offering with highlights including detachable battery and advanced features. The feature list includes Geo-Fencing, Virtual Speed Limit, Battery health tracker, SOS Notifications, Continous monitoring, Trips, Directions and vehicle status.

All these information can be accessed via the OkinawaEco app on Google Play. The app will be available after the launch of this scooter.
The bookings for the E-scooter have come from Tier-I, Tier-II as well as Tier-III cities across India. Tier-I cities include Pune, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. Tier-II cities include Bhopal, Nashik, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Ambala, Vishakapatnam and more. The last set includes Mysore, Bulandshahr, Gorakhpur, Warangal, Trichy, Trissur, etc.
Okinawa i-Praise comes with a detachable lithium-ion battery, which as help reduce its overall weight. The battery can be taken home and can be charged with the help of a three-pin plug.

Okinawa Praise is the current top model offering from the brand. It comes in two variants – small disc and big disc. The smaller disc variant goes for Rs 69,789 and the latter one goes for Rs 71,789 (ex-showroom).
So, we expect the prices of Okinawa i-Praise to be a bit more premium over that of Praise.
Okinawa I-Praise and Praise are not very different from each other. The biggest difference comes in acid lead battery in Praise and detachable Li-on battery in i-Praise.

For braking purposes, i-Praise might be offered with disc brakes at both ends, just like with Praise. Conventional telescopic forks at the front and dual-shock absorbers at the back will fulfill the suspension duties.
