These images represent an off-road-ready concept design of the Nissan Magnite. Magnite rose to fame after its launch last year. The main attraction was the fact that it was the most affordable compact SUV in the country and it still is. This has made the segments very fluid and started eating the customers planning to go for the premium hatchback segment too. The crossover type design with SUV-like ground clearance and space has become the ultimate selling point of the Magnite. In this post, there is a new avatar of the compact SUV. This looks like this could take you across any terrain with the kind of tyres and equipment it is carrying. Off-Road Concept Nissan Magnite
As seen in the images, the Magnite features quite a few exteriors changes which are useful in off-roading conditions. This includes things like a strong front bumper protection rod, extra LED lamps, tough skid plate while retaining bits like the L-shaped LED DRLs on the bumper and sleek LED headlamp unit. The extra LED light setup is also visible on the roof-mounted carrier. The A, B and C-pillars are blacked out along with pronounced wheel arches. The spare tyre is also placed on the top of the roof. The high-profile chunky tyres give the impression of this being a hardcore vehicle along with the side body skirting.

The rear houses a split taillamp setup borrowed from the regular Magnite, redesigned bumper design along with skid plate to give it a sporty look. There is also the roof-integrated rear spoiler finished in black along with a blacked-out roof. The overall impression is that of a muscular SUV with high ground clearance and a rugged exterior design.

Specs
The Nissan Magnite is available in two engine variants – 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. Both of these are three-cylinder units and the naturally aspirated version offers 72hp and 96Nm. The transmission variant of 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The turbo variant output a maximum power of 100hp and a peak torque of 160Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-step CVT. The prices of the Magnite range between Rs 5.59 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom.
