This micro SUV boasts of a full 5-star safety rating at the GNCAP. Catered to the semi-urban and rural population, this rugged SUV has some characteristics to tackle off-road conditions in its regular avatar as well. This design concept only accentuates those traits to a whole new level. The designer has put a lot of thought into the off-roading elements. Let us take a look at what new additions are there to make it into a snow monster.

Off-Road Concept Punch in Snow
There are quite a few unique elements built into this concept version. This includes a massive bull bar at the front to protect the fascia of the micro SUV, auxiliary LED lights on the bull bar and on the roof, LED lighting inside the headlamp cluster, roof rack for additional luggage, chunky high-profile tyres stretching out of the width of the body and cut-out sides of the front bumper for better off-road experience. The suspension is raised significantly to increase the ground clearance. The rear of this concept SUV also features some hardcore off-roading elements including a roof ladder, spare wheel on the boot lid, LED lighting at various places and short overhangs. All in all, this concept of the Tata Punch is a proper snow monster.

Powering the Tata Punch is a Tiago-sourced 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is also available on the Altroz as well as the Tigor. This motor outputs 86 hp. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The prices range between Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh, ex-showroom. The direct rivals include the Maruti Ignis and the upcoming Hyundai Casper. It might also take away the customers of Renault Kwid, Hyundai Santro and Maruti S-Presso. However, with the prices announced, some people find a better value for money proposition in the Maruti Ignis. It offers higher mileage and more affordable prices.
