Here is the coolest off-road design concept of the Tata Punch ever. Tata has recently launched the micro SUV in India. It aims to lure in the potential first-time buyers. Being a micro SUV allows it to compete against the hatchbacks and products from the other adjacent segments as well. Having received a full 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP, people will buy it for the safety reasons too. The automobile enthusiasts have been developing innovative design concepts of the Punch frequently. But this off-road-oriented version might be the best we have ever seen. It surely won’t make it to production but it is a great eye candy for a whole bunch of people nonetheless. Let us take a look at the details of this concept.

Design Concept Tata Punch
The designer has enhanced every aspect of the regular Punch. To start with, the front end of this Punch features a tough bull bar in front of the bumper, there are auxiliary lights on it, the fog lamps are installed at the edges of the bumper, there are LED elements inside the headlamp cluster along with LED DRLs on the bumper, the raised suspension ensures a high ground clearance for better off-roading. There is a roof rack on the top with ladder for accessibility, auxiliary lighting on top of that to ensure unparalleled visibility. There are massive high profile tyres with off-roading treads which come out of the body of the micro SUV. The rear also features a spare tyres mounted on the rod along with cut out bumper from sides to increase th departure angle. The reflector lights are well positioned at the sides and centre of the bumper.

Powering the Tata Punch is a Tiago-sourced 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is also available on the Altroz as well as the Tigor. This motor outputs 86 hp. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The prices of the Punch range between Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh, ex-showroom. The direct rivals include the Maruti Ignis and the upcoming Hyundai Casper. It might also take away the customers of Renault Kwid, Hyundai Santro and Maruti S-Presso.
