The Suzuki WagonR facelift has been launched in Japan. WagonR is a prominent product in the Japanese market catering to the Kei car segment. These cars need to have engines smaller than 660-cc which is why they are primarily used in cities where high speeds are not needed. Suzuki WagonR Facelift Launched
In this facelifted version, the exterior of the WagonR has been altered a little. There are three variants on offer: Standard, Stingray and Custom Z. All these have distinct front fascia. In the top Custom Z trim, there is a large grille with a chunky chrome slab between the sleek projection headlamps, there are vertical fog lamp housings on either edge of the bumper, while the overall silhouette is that of the tall boy that we have witnessed in our market for years now. On the sides, there are no creases and the side pillars are designed differently as well.

Features
When it comes to features, you will be surprised to know what the WagonR in Japan comes with. There are Suzuki Safety Support & Suzuki Connect under which the WagonR gets ADAS functions, connectivity and remote operations, a heated driver’s seat, head-up display, 6-speaker audio system, reverse parking camera, automatic air conditioning, start/stop button, USB power sockets (Type-A and Type-C) and much more. It might be a Kei car but it comes with premium features that are seen in cars that belong to a few segments above in our market.

The WagonR in Japan comes with a 660-cc NA petrol engine that develops 49 PS and 58 Nm and a 660-cc turbo petrol engine that makes 64 PS and 98 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. Both these engines come with a hybrid setup as well. Perhaps the most shocking aspect of this vehicle is that it comes with the option of 2WD and 4WD.
