Nissan Motors India is all stuffed with happiness as the Nissan Micra exports are touching appreciable milestones and expressing content Managing Director Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama today made an announcement that soon they will start exporting the Nissan Sunny mid-size sedan to other global markets.
The first markets to get the Sunny are West Asia and Africa as there is a high demand for such affordable cars and the competitively priced Sunny is sighted to be a successful car in those regions. Along with this word on Sunny, Mr. Tokuyama also announced that the company is planning to launch another MPV like the Toyota Innova but disclosed nothing further.
The Micra was launched keeping in mind the demand in European markets and the firm is extremely satisfied with the 1 Lakh units they have exported in the past 11 months. He said, “This time around we are targeting the West Asia because of the demand there. Besides, we have already placed sedans from our UK and Spanish units in the European market,”
The company has plenty of aggressive plans for the coming future of which the first is to increase the dealership network to 60 from the current 45. By 2013 the company expects to take the dealership network to 100. Besides this the company is also busy in the feasibility study of a proposed small car in the range of Rs. 2 – Rs. 4 lakhs. Definitely the major is working sincerely on bringing better products to the Indian market and is also focusing on its revenues and I hope it does well.
