Nissan Micra is a comparatively new entrant into Indian Small Car segment by Japanese Major Nissan. In this article I will compare Nissan Micra with Ford Figo Petrol variant. Ford Figo comes in both Petrol and Diesel variants but I will keep this comparison restricted to the petrol variant of Figo only.

Comparing the Micra with Figo, Micra has a better visual appear from outside with its cute and elegant rounded curves. It looks more trendy and neat from outside when compared with Figo. The Styling of Figo is conventional and elegant too, but comparing the two, Micra takes the lead.

Ford Figo Dimensions :

Comparing the dimensions, Micra comes really close to Ford Figo in length and width, but Micra is higher than Figo giving more spacious head-room compared with Figo. In Width, Figo is slightly more spacious, but its not a big difference.

Comparing the engine specifications, Micra seems mightier than the Figo and delivers peak power at a slightly lower RPM. This means Micra has a better performing engine compared with Ford Figo.

In terms of gadgetry and features, the interiors of both Micra and Figo are good,but Micra has a much better visual appeal and placement of interiors of the Interiors as compared with the Ford Figo.

The color tone of Nissan Micra looks better and more classy. Also the absence of rear power windows and climate control makes it less attractive option compared to Nissan Micra. In terms of interiors, I would go for Micra over Figo.

Price of Ford Figo 1.2L Duratec ZXi is Rs. 3.99 Lakhs
Price of Ford Figo 1.2L Duratec Titanium is Rs. 4.42 Lakhs

There is a price difference in the corresponding models and Figo is no doubt cheaper, but the features are less too.

In my personal opinion, Nissan Micra is a better buy compared with Ford Figo. There can be one exceptions, in case the Nissan Service center is not in your reach, I would suggest you to re-consider buying a Nissan. If I have a choice between Figo and Micra, I will opt for Micra.
