Nissan Leaf EV is set to launch in Nepal and the obvious question that arises is when will it launch in India. Now, the Leaf is one of the most popular EVs in the world and has been around for a while now. Nissan, unfortunately, didn’t have a huge market share to boast of in the Indian automobile market. It is only after the launch of Magnite last year, that Nissan has seen some decent sales figures. If it wants to carry on this momentum going forward, it might think of bringing its best product, in terms of the electric car segment, to our shore as well. The Leaf might soon see the day of light in Nepal and India might be the next target market. The charging infrastructure is rapidly developing in India and Tesla will also be starting its operations in India soon. Hence, it makes sense for Nissan to bring the Leaf to India sooner rather than later.
