Nissan has now launched the Kicks Turbo with a manual and a CVT gearbox. It is priced much cheaper than Kia Seltos Turbo and Hyundai Creta Turbo.
Nissan Kicks get a BS6 upgrade, continuing the same engine along with a new and more powerful one as well. The petrol variants are priced from Rs 9.50 Lakhs up to Rs 9.99 Lakhs. However, the main highlight is the new 1.3 Litre turbo-petrol engine that will take the game of Kicks to a different level.

You can get the Kia Seltos Turbo cheaper, starting at Rs 13.79 Lakhs. The latter definitely poses as a better deal when compared to Kicks, but the GTK variant does not get all features that come on the top-end GTX+ trim. Even the Creta poses off as a better deal because both of them offer a ton more features than Nissan Kicks.
On the other hand, the Kicks Turbo is a lot more powerful as well. Here is the detailed comparison of power figures.
Kicks | Seltos | Creta | |
Engine Capacity | 1.3 Litre turbo petrol | 1.4 Litre TGDI | 1.4 Litre turbo petrol |
Power | 156 PS | 143 PS | 143 PS |
Peak Torque | 254 Nm | 250 Nm | 242 Nm |
Gearbox | 6-speed MT/CVT | 6-speed MT/7-speed DCT | 7-speed DCT |
Kicks produces nearly 13 PS more power than both of them and offers even better amount of torque. The acceleration and 0-100 figures are yet to be revealed, which will tell which is faster among the three. Kicks and Seltos get a 6-speed manual gearbox whereas Creta misses out on one. Kicks’ CVT might be more fuel efficient but the DCT gearbox gets more fun quotient.

Soon, Renault Duster will be also getting the same 1.3 Litre engine with the same power figures. It will be even cheaper than the likes Nissan Kicks but also with fewer features. Renault and Nissan have discontinued diesel engines due to the BS6 norms and are now only petrol-SUVs.
