The Nissan Kicks compact SUV made its debut in India this year. Its prices falls in-between the range of INR 9.55 lakh to INR 14.65 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, it competes against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and the Renault Captur. It has been launched in India with two engine options i.e. petrol and diesel. However, there is only one transmission option on offer which is a 6-speed manual unit. Also, the top-end variants are only available with the diesel derivative.

Nissan Kicks- India Engine Specifications
The Nissan Kicks is going to launch in India with the same engine specifications as that of the Renault Captur. It means that this compact SUV will launch in India in both petrol as well as diesel powertrain options.
The petrol engine is going to be a 1.5-litre unit. This 4-cylinder engine will churn out 106 BHP of power along with 142 Nm of peak torque. This engine is going to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The diesel engine is going to be a 1.5-litre unit. This 4-cylinder engine is capable of churning out 110 BHP of power along with 240 Nm of peak torque. This engine will offer a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Almost a year ago, Nissan showcased the Kicks concept. The production-spec model seen in the images here is nearly identical. The concept’s headlamps and tail lamps have given way to production spec units.

It gets new alloys and some of the orange highlights around the bumper and grille area have been lost. Nissan’s now characteristic window line has been retained. And so has the dual tone paint scheme.
Nissan Kicks- Interior Design
