The price increase is attributed to rising input costs. Nissan India has joined other car manufacturer which are set to hike prices starting 1st April.
Starting April 2018, Nissan India is going to increase the prices of its entire model line-up in India by 2 percent. The Japanese automaker has attributed this price-hike to the rising input costs. Datsun, which is Nissan’s budget car brand in our country will also face similar price changes.
Nissan India is not the only automobile manufacturer in India which is increasing prices. Several other auto giants are on the same bandwagon. Yesterday, Tata Motors too said that the prices of its entire model line-up will go up by INR 60,000.

Currently, Nissan India sells the Micra hatchback, Sunny mid-size sedan and the Terrano SUV. In addition to this, Nissan’s budget brand Datsun sells the Go, Go Plus and the Redi-Go.
Nissan India’s pace in the Indian automotive sector has been rather lukewarm in the recent past. The automaker is shying away from launching new models in our country for some time. Consequently, both the Nissan and Datsun were missing from this year’s Auto Expo.
