Expansion is the name of the game for any manufacturer to grow at an appropriate pace and to compete aggressively against the top companies in the Indian automobile industry. Nissan has been trying positively towards making its position in the industry more firm.
Although Nissan X-Trail , Nissan Teana and Nissan 370Z have not been successful enough to give the brand a stand but the Nissan Micra certainly has the potential to bring the glow to the company’s face. Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) is now getting aggressive and has expanded its dealership network across the country with five new dealership.
Earlier there were 15 operational dealerships which advances to 20 with addition of 5 dealerships in the following cities:-
- Lucky Nissan – Vijayawada
- CI Nissan – Bhopal
- Royal Nissan – Jaipur
- Ananta Nissan – Bhubaneswar
- Orion Nissan – Navi Mumbai
When approached Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, MD & CEO, NMIPL, said “We had a short-term objective of establishing 20 dealerships by July 2010 and we are happy to state that we have been well on track with our plans. Going forward, we hope to continue our endeavour to increase our footprint and to provide total customer satisfaction with high-quality service standards.”
The company’s focus is on raising the dealership count to 30 by the end of the financial year since Micra’s success will definitely depend on the convenience and availability among the customers interested. NMIPL – in partnership with Hover Automotive India, its marketing, sales, after-sales service and dealer development arm is concentrating on preparing the network structure ahead of the upcoming growth.
The plans of this major seem to be feasible enough and we wish to see them growing healthily.
