The Nissan Kicks has been finally launched in India to compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti S-Cross and the Renault Captur.
The highly anticipated Nissan Kicks compact SUV has been launched today in India. It is going to retail at a starting price of INR 9.55 Lakhs. The top-end variant goes for Rs 14.65 Lakhs (ex-showroom). With this price bracket, as expected, it is going to compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti S-Cross and the Renault Captur.

The Nissan Kicks goes on sale in India in both petrol as well as diesel derivatives. The petrol derivative gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine. This unit is capable of churning out 104 BHP of power along with 142 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine is also a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder unit. It is capable of producing 108 BHP of power along with 240 Nm of peak torque.

The petrol derivatives of the Kicks will offer an ARAI certifies fuel-efficiency figure of 14.23 km/l. The diesel derivative, in the base variant will offer a mileage figure of 20.45 km.l. While the top-spec trims promises 19.39 km/l.
Both these engines will launch in BS-IV spec and will be upgraded to BS-VI spec at a later stage. The Nissan Kicks is going to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. At the time of launch, it is not going to get an automatic gearbox in its portfolio. The same is going to join at the ranks later this year.

In terms of its dimensions, the Nissan Kicks measures 4,384 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width and 1,656 mm in height. It is going to get a wheelbase of 2,673 mm. It boot capacity stands at 400-litres.
The Kicks is going to retail in a total of four trim levels. These are namely XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium Option. XL and XV variants will be available with petrol engines only and the other two variants will come with diesel as well as petrol engines.

The Kicks goes on sale with a plethora of colour options. There is a total of six single tone colour schemes along with three dual-tone colour schemes on offer. The single tone colour scheme includes White, Silver, Bronze, Orange, Red and Blue. While the dual-tone colour scheme includes white-Black, White-Orange and Bronze-Orange.
