Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the next-gen Swift. Now, the loo of the upcoming car has been revealed online.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited is the largest carmaker in India and the Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular cars in the country. However, the third generation is quite old now. The company is already working on a new model. It make an announcement in the coming months. Several test mules of the upcoming car have been spotted already. Additionally, many renders have also surfaced online. In this article, let’s take a look at the forthcoming fourth gen Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Next Generation Maruti Swift to be Larger
As you can see in the image above, the new model features a more aggressive look. It features a larger octagonal grille with a honeycomb pattern and a small Suzuki insignia. The previous model sports a hexagonal with a chrome divider in the middle. Additionally, the company has added an all-new bonnet, redesigned headlamps, and a small black lower section in the middle of the bumper. Also, the fog lamps get a boomerang-shaped housing. The upper half could also come in gloss black.
In terms of dimensions, the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift could measure 3950 mm in length, 1720 mm in width, and 1500 mm in height. It is said to come with around 2500 mm of wheelbase and an overall weight of around 930 kg. The upcoming car is likely to come with a bigger set of alloy wheels. The company might also add a revised rear bumper with a new design for the LED taillamps. However, the next-gen model retains the popular silhouette of the Swift. The next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift will come in a three-door iteration. In India, it will be available in a five-door format.

Equipment-sharing with Baleno
On the inside, the next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift will get a revamped dashboard and layout. Comfort features will be borrowed from the Baleno hatchback. Additional features on the car will include ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The new car will be powered by a hybrid powertrain that will offer a mileage between 35-40 Kmpl. The company might also opt for a new 1.2-liter petrol engine (codenamed Z12E). The three-cylinder unit will be paired with a variation of the hybrid technology seen on the Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The current-gen model comes with a four-cylinder K12C engine.
