New 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Exterior Review
As can be seen in the images we have here, the basic design of the next Swift remains almost the same as the current model. However, it does sport many new styling elements like a floating roof, a Renault Pulse-like front grille, stretched-back headlamps, and new wrap-around taillights. Also, much like the Chevrolet Beat, the rear door handle has been moved towards the C-Pillar. We feel that the Swift’s exterior design has evolved in the right direction. The upcoming New Model Maruti Swift 2017 looks sportier and more premium. Yet, it maintains the essence of the original model.
New 2017 Maruti Swift Interior Review
Changes on the inside, however, seem to be far more comprehensive. There’s a new steering wheel that looks sportier, a two-pod speedo console with a large Multi-Information Display (MID), circular aircon vents. It also gets Maruti’s SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system and circular controls and display for the auto aircon. The interior setup definitely looks more premium than the one we are used to seeing on the current model.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift 2017 – Engine and Transmission
Currently, the Maruti Swift is sold in petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant comes with 1197 cc K-series petrol engine with VVT. While the max. power is 84.3 PS at 6000 rpm, the peak torque is 115 Nm at 4000 rpm. The diesel variant produces 75 PS of maximum power at 4000 rpm and furthermore a peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. Both variants are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The new Swift will continue with these engine and transmission options. A 5-speed AMT could be added to the lineup.
Internationally, the new Maruti Swift 2017 could bid goodbye to the 1.6-litre Naturally Aspirated motor it currently comes with. Instead, it could get a new 1.4-litre Boosterjet motor that powers the Suzuki Vitara S. This engine pumps out a max. power of 136 PS and a peak torque of 220 Nm. Japan gets the smaller 1.0-litre Boosterjet Petrol engine. An ingeniously developed 1.5-litre Diesel engine could be offer at a later stage. Both the engines will get a 6-speed manual transmission and the petrol model could get a CVT too.

New Model Maruti Swift 2017- Competition
The Swift will continue to rival the same cars it rivals currently. These are –
The Swift leads on its segment’s sales charts. Such has been the demand for this hatchback that it has often outsold even the much cheaper Maruti Alto. True, the likes of Grand i10 and new Figo have managed to steal some light-light away from the Swift. However, with the launch of the next generation 2017 Swift, Maruti might end up giving yet another lethal blow to the competition. We are pretty sure that the New Model Maruti Swift 2017 India launch will be a significant milestone in Maruti’s really long success story.

New Model Maruti Swift 2017 vs Old Model
Underpinning the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift is an all-new platform. It will be lighter than the current car. It gets a more aggressive looking exterior with a gaping single piece front grille and large fog lamp housings. The 2017 Maruti Swift features projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights. Like the Vitara Brezza, the new Swift also gets a floating roof effect, which along with the high-mounted rear door handle, gives it a coupe-like profile. On the inside, the 2017 Suzuki Swift is all-new as well.
The dashboard design is more stylish and we expect Maruti to add more features too. Under the hood is where we’re not expecting to see any changes as the upcoming 2017 Maruti Swift is likely to get the same engine lineup. However, the diesel variants could benefit from Suzuki’s mild hybrid tech. New Maruti Swift’s could a cost a bit more than the current model, but we’re not expecting a major hike in prices. Overall, the New Model Maruti Swift 2017 will be more spacious, have a longer set of features and will be more fuel efficient than the current car.
