The current, forth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-class has been around since 2014 and Mercedes gave a major facelift to the car in 2018. The front end has been made sharper than before and its also flatter. The seamlessly blends with the long and sculpted bonnet. The newer Mercedes’ cars look much aggressive than before and its true for the new C-class as well. The aggression is well accentuated by the large grille and slimmer, angular lights. The windscreen seems to have more rake and the glasshouse also seems larger than before. At the rear, it will possibly get a stubby boot like the A-Class sedan, with a two-part tail lamp, like in most new Mercedes cars.

As for the powertrains of the next-gen Mercedes C-class, it is likely that the engines in the current-gen model will continue with the next-generation as well. There would thus be a range of 4 and 6-cylinder engines, right from the 1.5-litre petrol to the 3.0-litre diesel straight-six. There will be a 48V mild-hybrid system as well along with a PHEV version following soon. The next-gen Mercedes C-class will retain all the bits that made the current C-class so special with its balanced dynamics, smart looks and luxurious interiors.
