Next-Gen Maruti Swift – Exterior Design
The front fascia looks a lot more aggressive than the current model due to the sleek headlamp design like we have seen on the Baleno as well. The blacked-out front grille along with a black bonnet line gives the sporty element to the front lool. The bumper on the front is redesigned to give an angular look that houses the fog lamps on either side. The fender area is a bit muscular and the characteristic creases on the body panel are also modern. Dual 5-spoke Alloy Wheel design will be a departure from the current-gen model. The rear might feature a bit of an updated taillamp unit, bumper design and boot lid design. Overall, the next-gen Swift will have some bits of the current-gen model but will also be sufficiently distinguishable.

Interiors and Features
The interiors will also be updated because of the large gap between the current model and the next-gen Swift. However, this means that it will feature all the modern features including a large touchscreen Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth Connectivity, Connected Car Tech Features, Digital Instrument Cluster, Steering Mounted Controls, Automatic Climate Control, redesigned dashboard and central layout and more. It will be based on the updated HEARTECT platform which means that it might be a bit more spacious on the inside.

Engine and Transmission
The next-gen Maruti Swift will likely feature the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as the current model. However, this engine might be supplemented by the mild-hybrid setup for increased power output and better fuel economy. This engine will be good for 88 hp and 113 Nm of peak power and torque respectively (same as Baleno). There will be the option of either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
