In a rather exciting news, the next-gen Maruti Dzire is about to launch in our market soon. However, the aftermarket accessories shops have already got the taste of some of its components. Dzire is one of the most successful products from the largest carmaker in India. It found application among private individuals, as well as fleet operators. Its incredible mileage, multiple powertrain options, low running costs and Maruti badge are some of the top reasons for its massive success. Since the new generation Swift has already been launched recently, the sedan avatar is on its way as well.
Next-Gen Maruti Dzire Parts in Aftermarket Accessories Shops
This video comes from Harsh VLOGS on YouTube. It captures the owner of the aftermarket shop who claims to have the headlamp and taillamp of the upcoming Dzire ahead of the official launch. The man says that he is the only one in the world who has the original components of the Dzire even before the vehicle has been officially launched. He showcases the LED headlamp unit, which he says is inspired by the likes of premium carmakers like Audi.
Now, we know that it is not possible for a budget sedan to get a top-notch headlamp cluster like that on Audi cars. But the looks are somewhat similar. Furthermore, the video also showcases the LED taillamp unit which gets a striking appearance. It will be different from the Swift which was not the case in last gen version. Apart from that, the new amenities could include things like an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera and possibly, ADAS. The cabin layout will mostly be inspired by the Swift along with connected car tech and safety equipment.
Specs
As is the case with the current-gen version, the Maruti Dzire could share the powertrains with the Swift. Hence, we can expect the new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild hybrid technology which generates a healthy 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. In the Swift, this mill offers an enticing mileage of 25.75 kmpl with the AMT and 24.8 kmpl with the manual. On top of that, we can also get the CNG variant either at the launch or sometime later.

Our View
Now, the Maruti Dzire has achieved incredible success in India since its launch back in 2008. It was updated by Maruti Suzuki from to time, which ensured that it always remained fresh. As a result, the rivals were never able to catch it on the sales charts. I expect the next-gen Maruti Dzire to carry on that momentum and appeal too. We shall have to wait a bit longer to acquaint ourselves with all the details of the new model.
