Next-Gen Mahindra Bolero Visualized
This rendition comes from SRK Designs on YouTube. The final product looks modern and rugged. It retains the solid stance of the original Bolero while incorporating the new design language of Mahindra with a Scorpio N-like front grille with vertical slats. I like the neatly integrated sleek LED headlamps into the grille section making the entire area a single continuous section. Apart from that, the SUV gets fog lamps, a huge radiator grille and a sturdy bumper, accentuating its imposing character.

The side profile has black A, B and C pillars with a boxy silhouette. In fact, the square wheel arches and the boxy profile ooze Land Rover Defender vibes. There are roof rails and side body claddings too. The side steps enhance the ingress and egress traits of the SUV while the chunky alloy wheels lend a more solid appearance. I would say that this is a great balance between remaining true to the DNA of the Bolero while including modern-day elements of the Bolero Neo. I also understand that this is just a digital illustration. However, the aesthetics in this digital concept look like they can easily make it to the production model.

Details of Next-Gen Bolero
As per some reports online, the next-gen Mahindra Bolero will be based on a new platform, codenamed U171. In fact, in the next couple of years, this architecture will spawn over half a dozen models including SUVs and pickup trucks. Hence, Mahindra clearly has plans to keep updating its ICE portfolio despite substantial investments in electrification. The launch of the next-gen Bolero might take place somewhere around 2026-27. We shall keep an eye out for further developments in this regard.
