The recently formed Stellantis group has confirmed the launch of the next-gen Fiat Punto and here are the details. The Punto was quite a popular hatchback in India, especially among driving enthusiasts. It had developed a sort of cult following of its own. Anyone who drove it was impressed by its driving dynamics. Traditionally, India has not had too many hot-hatches that focus on the driver and driving. Punto was different. It was only in 2019 when Fiat discontinued the Punto and Linea and wrapped up its business from this part of the world. The FCA group only has the Jeep brand in India and is focussing on localization for it. It has learned its lesson and is planning to launch SUVs that are made in India to offer a better value proposition for buyers. Now, Stellantis, the parent group of FCA, has announced that the Punto will be revived. Here are the details of the Fiat Punto.

Expected Specs
The Fiat Punto might have the powerful 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine making 130 hp and an option of hybrid technology. There might be a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox option to transmit the power from the engine to the wheels. The launch of the Fiat Punto in India is unlikely considering the fact that Fiat has left India.
